Willet Remodeling & Construction, Inc. is a family-owned remodeling company serving homeowners throughout the Twin Cities, MN, metro area, with a focus on the North and Northeast Metro suburbs. Since 1995, Scott Willet and his team have been helping families reimagine their homes through additions, kitchen remodels, basement finishes, and complete renovations. Before 1990

The Foundation

Long before Willet Remodeling and Construction, Inc. became a company, its foundation was being laid—literally. As a teenager, Scott Willet began working as a laborer, pouring concrete and taking on hands-on jobs that taught him the value of precision, effort, and integrity. Even before graduating high school, he had already found his calling in the trades.

1990s

A Passion Takes Shape

Around 1990, Scott began building what would become Willet Remodeling and Construction, Inc., working evenings as an independent subcontractor under the mentorship of Bob Burns of R.C. Burns Company, while maintaining a full-time position with a garage door manufacturer during the day. The R.C. Burns Company specialized in the insurance and restoration industry, providing Scott the environment to learn the crucial elements of serving customers with those needs. Long days and late nights built more than projects—they built knowledge, skill, and character. Under Bob’s guidance, Scott learned the finer points of quality craftsmanship and what it takes to deliver work you can stand behind. Scott supported R.C. Burns Company with his crew until Bob’s retirement in the early 2000s, leading to the incorporation of Willet Remodeling and Construction.

2008

Officially Incorporated

By 2008, what started as a small side business had grown into something much bigger. Willet Remodeling and Construction, Inc. was officially incorporated, allowing Scott to take on larger projects and expand the company’s reach. The company’s reputation for reliability, honesty, and exceptional workmanship began to spread through word of mouth—one satisfied client at a time.

2021

Growing Into the Future

In 2021, Willet Remodeling and Construction, Inc. outgrew its home office and workshop (a pole barn on Scott’s property) and proudly moved into a dedicated office building. With a growing team, the move marked a new chapter in the company’s story: one defined by happy customers, collaboration, and continued commitment to quality.
